Can I park at the start-finish area on race day?
There will be NO parking available at the start-finish area on race day. The race course starts and finishes at the Visitors Center of The Nature Conservancy’s Nags Head Woods Ecological Preserve. In keeping with the focus on nature, the parking area is limited, even on a non-event day. On race day, the parking area will be filled with race administration facilities, water and food stations, EMS, port-o-lets, and the Yeungling beer truck. The race day parking area will be located off West Satterfield Landing Rd. in Nags Head (at the southwest corner of the intersection of West Satterfield Landing Road and South Lark Ave) – approximately 1.75 miles from the race site. For reference, Kelly’s Restaurant (which has great food and hospitality) is two blocks south of West Satterfield Landing Road on Rt 158. Shuttles will run regularly between the parking area and start-finish area no later than 6:30 AM on race day. There are permanent restroom facilities at the parking area.

How far is it from the race-day parking to the start-finish area?
It’s approximately 1.75 miles over town streets.

The course is out and back, and there will be race volunteers at turns – It would be very difficult to get lost. Anything is possible, but you’d have to work really hard to get lost on this course.
