Is there a deadline for registration for the 5K?
Registration will be open until the morning of the race, or when 500 runners register, whichever occurs first.

How are the race proceeds used?
This is a charity event put on by volunteers from North Banks Rotary Club and Outer Banks Kiwanis Club. All net proceeds are donated to charitable organizations and youth programs. Please see our Beneficiaries page for more details.

Tell me more about the free beer!
Yuengling Brewery and Coastal Beverage Company are very generous in supporting the race financially and with their great beer. Kegs open at the Start-Finish area for 5K race runners age 21 and older after they finish the race. Beer is available only for runners at the race site. The kegs open again at the Ramada Plaza Post-Race Beach Party for runners and paid party attendees age 21 and older. IDs will be checked.

Can I get lost on the course?
The course is out and back, and there will be race volunteers at turns – It would be very difficult to get lost. Anything is possible, but if you get lost on this course, you will be the first to do so.
