Welcome to Nags Head, and congratulations on finding Nags Head Woods, one of the best kept secret spots on the Outer Banks. Running through the maritime forest, with the oak and holly trees and the beech trees, is a rare beauty, and makes for a great race.

I hope you’ll enjoy the local specialties in our restaurants, and browse our galleries for local art. The Outer Banks offers so many opportunities for recreation and enjoying our country’s history that it’s difficult to choose between the NC Aquarium or the Wright Brothers Monument or the many lighthouses, or the first English colony in the New World. So come back many times with your family and enjoy the Outer Banks from Corolla to Ocracoke, and everywhere in between!
